Leave A9 at the exit HALLE; turn right into B100 towards Halle. After about 10km you cross A14, stay on B100 towards Halle until you reach after 5 km the end of B100 at a traffic light. Take you look at your map: you are now at the intersection NORD-OST-TANGENTE/DESSAUER BRÜCKE (bridge). Attention: On the bridge turn right immediately towards B6 to Magdeburg. After about 100 m on B6 take the next exit into WOLFENSTEINSTRASSE. Go straight ahead following WOLFENSTEINSTRASSE, cross REILSTRASSE, then WOLFENSTEINSTRASSE becomes Brunnenstrasse; follow BRUNNENSTRASSE. At the end of BRUNNENSTRASSE turn right into BURGSTRASSE and then left again into KRÖLLWITZER STRASSE. Cross the Saale River. After the bridge turn immediately right and drive along the Saale River on TALSTRASSE (one-way street). At the stop sign you turn left into WEINBERGWEG. After about 200 m you see the building of the Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Halle (TGZ). There you turn left into WOLFGANG-LANGENBECK-STRASSE. At the next intersection you turn right into KURT-MOTHES-STRASSE going up a small hill. After passing the Institute of Chemistry on the left-hand side you turn right into WEINBERG. The MPI is situated on the left-hand side after 50 m. There are plenty of parking space available.

Leave A9 at AUTOBAHNKREUZ [interchange] RIPPACHTAL, then enter A38 towards GÖTTINGEN.
Leave A38 at the AUTOBAHNDREIECK [three-leg interchange] HALLE-SÜD and enter A143 towards MAGDEBURG/HALLE.
Take the HALLE-NEUSTADT exit and follow road B80 towards HALLE.
Once you have entered Halle, stay in the left lane. Do not go towards the city center, but straight. Follow the "MARTIN-LUTHER-UNIVERSITÄT" sign. About 1km after you have passed the EISSPORTHALLE [ice stadium], there is a traffic light. Here, take a sharp right turn into the small, narrow, and hilly WEINBERG. The Institute is located on the right-hand side.
There is plenty of parking space available.

Drive on A14 until exit HALLE/PEISSEN. Enter B100 towards HALLE. Continue like described above…

Drive on B80 towards HALLE. In Halle you stay on the road going straight ahead under the Magistrale (see map) and follow GIMRITZER DAMM towards the Ice Stadium. About 1 km after the stadium there is a traffic light. Here, take a sharp right turn into the small, narrow, and hilly WEINBERG. Follow the signs towards the MPI. The MPI is situated on the right hand side after 100 m. There are plenty of parking space available.

A9 bis zur Ausfahrt HALLE (Nr.13), auf die B100 rechts in Richtung Halle auffahren, nach ca. 10 km unterquert man die A14, weiter auf der B100 Richtung Halle fahren, bis man nach weiteren 5 km das Ende der B100 an einer Ampel erreicht. Sie sind nun am Schnittpunkt NORD-OST-TANGENTE/DESSAUER BRÜCKE. An dieser Ampel in der rechten Spur links abbiegen und über die Dessauer Brücke fahren. Noch auf der Brücke sofort nach rechts Richtung MAGDEBURG abbiegen. Auf der Schnellstraße ca. 100 m fahren und sofort nach rechts in die WOLFENSTEINSTRASSE abfahren. Auf der Wolfensteinstr. bleiben, die REILSTRASSE überqueren, die Wolfensteinstr. wird zur BRUNNENSTRASSE, weiter der Brunnenstr. folgen. Immer der abbiegenden Vorfahrt folgen, bis schließlich die SAALE auf der GIEBICHENSTEIN-BRÜCKE überquert wird. Direkt hinter der Brücke rechts abfahren und entlang der Saale die TALSTRASSE (Einbahnstraße!) bis zum Stopp-Schild fahren, am Stopp-Schild links auf den WEINBERGWEG abbiegen, nach 200 m liegt links das Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Halle (TGZ). Beim TGZ nach links in die WOLFGANG-LANGENBECK-STRASSE einbiegen (Hinweisschild zum MPI), an der nächsten Kreuzung rechts die KURT-MOTHES-STRASSE hinauffahren, man passiert das Chemische Institut, oben angekommen, nach rechts abbiegen (WEINBERG). 50 m weiter liegt linker Hand das Max-Planck-Institut. Dort sind ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden.

Von der A14 bei der Ausfahrt HALLE/PEISSEN auf die B100 Richtung Halle abfahren. Weiter wie oben beschrieben.

A9 bis zum Autobahnkreuz RIPPACHTAL, dort Richtung GÖTTINGEN auf die A38 abfahren, die A38 bis zum Autobahndreieck HALLE-SÜD fahren und dann auf die A143 Richtung MAGDEBURG/HALLE. Bei der Ausfahrt HALLE-NEUSTADT auf die B80 abfahren Richtung HALLE. Nachdem Sie Halle erreicht haben, in der linken Spur bleiben und geradeaus unter der Magistrale durch - nicht Richtung Stadtzentrum - fahren. Sie befinden sich auf dem GIMRITZER DAMM. Folgen Sie dem Hinweisschild "MARTIN-LUTHER-UNIVERSITÄT". Etwa 1 km, nachdem Sie die Eissporthalle (Ampel) passiert haben, befindet sich eine Ampelkreuzung. Fahren Sie ganz rechts in den WEINBERG (noch vor der abbiegenden Hauptstraße) hinein. Das Institut befindet sich ca. 50 m weiter auf der rechten Seite.

Nachdem Sie Halle erreicht haben, in der linken Spur bleiben und geradeaus unter der Magistrale durch und auf den GIMRITZER DAMM - nicht Richtung Stadtzentrum - fahren. Weiter wie oben beschrieben.
